Frequently asked questions
A few things people ask most often. If your question isn't here, the best place to start a new tattoo idea is a quote request.
Getting Started & the Quote
7 questionsNo. It's a request for me to review. It isn't an appointment, doesn't open a booking calendar, and doesn't guarantee I can take the project. If we're a fit, scheduling comes after approval.
Use the tattoo quote form. Share your idea, placement, rough size, and a few reference images.
I read every request myself and aim to reply within up to 14 business days.
I don't offer separate consultation appointments — I review everything through the request form.
Not at first. Booking and the deposit happen after I've reviewed and approved your request.
I'll send a $50 deposit request and scheduling instructions, and we'll confirm the design and your appointment time.
If it's not a fit, I'll let you know honestly. It's not personal — it usually means the style or subject isn't what I focus on.
What I Tattoo
7 questionsFine-line black ink: florals and botanicals, delicate script, dainty symbols, soft ornamental work, matching tattoos, small meaningful pieces, and larger designs that stay soft.
Color, realism, portraits, traditional, neo-traditional, tribal, watercolor, mandalas, cover-ups, and heavy or dark bold-line work. I also don't tattoo eyelids, inner lips, ears, palms, or soles, or anything hateful or offensive.
Not right now.
I don't take cover-ups.
Reworks are considered case by case — send details and I'll let you know.
Yes — note how many in your request.
Yes, matching tattoos are welcome.
Pricing, Deposit & Policies
7 questionsYes — the studio minimum is $120.
Yes — a $50 deposit, which is non-refundable and applies to the cost of your tattoo.
After I approve your request, not when you submit it.
You can reschedule once with at least 48 hours’ notice, and your deposit moves to the new date. A change inside 48 hours or a same-day reschedule may forfeit the deposit and need a new one. Cancelling forfeits the deposit. Full details are on the Policies page.
Please arrive on time and no more than about 10 minutes early. If you’re more than 15 minutes late, we may need to reschedule, and the deposit may be forfeited.
A no-show forfeits the deposit. If something comes up, message me as early as you can so we can try to reschedule within the policy.
Touch-ups are for my own work and need a clear photo of the fully healed tattoo. A complimentary touch-up is available if you reach out and book within two months of your appointment; after that — or for fast-fading placements like hands and feet — a fee may apply.
Preparing Your Request
5 questionsA few clear images that show the style, detail, and feeling you’re after — not necessarily an exact copy.
Give an approximate measurement in inches (for example, "about 3 inches"). It doesn’t need to be exact.
Where on the body you'd like it, as specifically as you can.
For some placements it helps to see the area so I can plan the design and fit. It's only requested when it's useful.
It helps me plan how fine-line work will sit and read on your skin.
